Day 4
Day 4 and I've made some progress on a traditionally animated short that has been on the back burner for too long!
The animation tests above are from before my 100 day journey. As crude as it may be, it really allowed me to learn the software and hardware.
As it turns out, those two things do not an entertaining movie make.
Well. Lets carry on.

Freedom: Day 1 & 2
Sometimes one needs to make choices and take chances that are contrary to common sense. If one does not first believe in oneself, then who will?
It would appear that many leaders are judged by the results of their first 100 days in charge.
The First Hundred Days - 1933
The Great Depression, how nice.
Franklin D. Roosevelt set a high standard for new presidents during his first 100 days launching a raft of New Deal reforms over his first three months in office.

An example closer to animation comes from Peter Schneider, an executive brought in by Katzenberg in the 1980's to Disney Animation.
He states, "When I got to animation, I knew I had 100 days to change the culture before it changed me. I was trying to empower people, to make them feel good about themselves, to value the work." He knew that decisive action was needed to turn the workplace atmosphere around.
Well, I'm on day 2. There is plenty to do. Better get things started!

Animation Mentor In the Rough 3
Animation Mentor In the Rough-2
When creating a new shot, I did lots of preparation including: thumbnail drawings, video reference; sometimes I would select the most important poses from the reference and rotoscope them to help learn body mechanics.
